Dr. Aldave conducted a DMEK (Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty) surgery skills transfer course at the Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital for surgeons from Ho Chi Minh City and other cities throughout Vietnam. The three day course included didactic lectures, live surgical demonstrations of DMEK, proctored surgery performed by the hospital’s surgeons and a wet lab session that allowed the course attendees to practice the technique of DMEK surgery.
