Dr. Aldave and two colleagues, Drs. Olivia Lee and Dr. Andres Codriansky, conducted a Lamellar Keratoplasty Workshop at the recently opened Jakarta Eye Center for corneal surgeons in Jakarta and throughout Indonesia. The two day course, which was held prior to the INASCRS 3rd Biennial Scientific Meeting January 10 and 11 in Jakarta, included didactic lectures, live surgical demonstration Descemet striping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK), proctored surgery performed by Jakarta Eye Center surgeons and a wet lab session that provided the course attendees the opportunity to practice the DSEK surgical technique.
